Advanced Engineering Double Floorspace

Wednesday, 26 August 2009

As a direct result of continued growth, Fine Cut Advanced Engineering division has now doubled its floorspace.

Over the past few months work for the advanced engineering team has been non-stop. They lastly delivered a almost impossible 3 month project in a amazing 2 months during a period when members of staff were on annual leave. The rotational mould tools were manufactured at a blistering rate with all engineering staff working around the clock to satisfy the deadline.

Because of the increasing work load and the introduction of new members of staff and impressive new machinery, such as the Dugard Eagle CNC machine, it was deemed necessary to increase the work space. Now each component, whether it has been machined on the 5 Axis CNC Machine of any other piece of equipment can pass between dedicated production areas within the factory, including finishing and packaging. This new process allows the team to manufacture each tool in a logical economical manner, as well as allowing the advanced engineering team to work on multiple projects which can be at different stages of production.
